Gram Stain is one of the most widely used differential staining gechniques in bacteriology. This technique allows the differentiation of bacteria into the gram-positive and the gram-negative groups. The division of bacteria into these two main groups is of great value in the identification of many bacteria. This kit allows you to identify Gram-Positive and Gram-Negative cells. Included in this kit are 15 ml each of the Crystal Violet Solution, Gram's Iodine Solution, Safanine (counter-stain) solution, and 30ml of the Alcohol/Acetone Solution. Enough to do over 100 tests. Adult supervision recommended. For ages 10 and up. Note: This item is shipped via ground only, no air shipment. Note also that the capacity of the larger bottles that we use are for 30ml size. Therefore the 15ml liquids given will only fill half the bottles. |
